I've built my new rig recently [], that includes MSI GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card. This model, as well as others, features either Samsung or Micron memory. It's known that there had been problems reported for GTX cards including Micron GDDR5 memory [], when it comes to overclocking. Even if these problems have been resolved, I've decided to pick Samsung one just to avoid BIOS updates etc. Unfortunately, it turned out it's not possible to tell the difference between a card with Samsung and Micron memory, unless you plug-in the card and check the memory manufacturer in GPU-Z app or similar.
